SACRAMENTO GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION:

 

On Thursday, 9/29 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, the Sacto Girls Softball Association needs volunteers to help with field preparation.  Location: Golden Empire Elementary School

9045 Canberra Dr, Sacramento, CA 95826.  

This is a close location for those students in Anatolia.  Interested students should contact Richard Floyd in HL-1  or via loop mail.

 

SLOBTOBERFEST:

 

Saturday, October 15, 2016 @ 12100 Green Road South, Wilton

SLOB (Simple Loaf of Bread) raises money to buy gas cards for cancer patients going thru treatment.  Student volunteers are needed for 4-5 hours to serve food...Please contact Danielle Dees at 916-230-2801 or djdees@yahoo.com if you would like to volunteer for this event.

 

TOP SOCCER:

 

Are you looking for an opportunity for community service hours?   Elk Grove’s TOP Soccer could use your help.  We are looking for buddy soccer players to help special needs soccer teams in our area.  Practice has already started for many teams, and it’s okay to choose one practice or come to them all.  Practices are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6-7pm.  Games will be starting September 10th-  November 12th  and will run from 9-11am.   Please see Mrs. Mullins in HK9 if you would like to sign up to help.

The Homecoming Dance is right around the corner.  As you shop for the night’s wardrobe, please keep in mind the dress expectations at PGHS. 

PGHS students are responsible for the behavior of their invited guests.   


 

 Dance Expectations

A. PGHS students and Guests must arrive with an actual school/picture ID and receipt at the door within the first 90 minutes of the dance. Guests must enter the dance with their PGHS sponsor.

B. Students who leave the dance will not be re-admitted for any reason.

C. Any participant found in unauthorized areas will be removed from the dance.  PGHS students will be subject to disciplinary action.

D. Being under the influence or in possession* of alcohol or drugs will result in immediate removal. PG students will be issued a minimum 5-day home suspension. (*Possession includes arriving in a vehicle that knowingly contains drugs or alcohol.)

 

**PGHS students and/or guests who are removed from a dance for any violation of the California Education Codes or dance policies set forth in the PGHS Dance Contract will not be permitted into any PGHS sponsored school dance for the remainder of the school year.    

Refunds are not provided to students removed from a dance.


 

 Dress Code Requirements

  1. Shirts [with collars are suggested] must remain on throughout the dance.
  2. Pants must be on the waistline (no sagging); nice jeans are acceptable for informal dances
  3. All undergarments are to be covered so they are not visible.
  4. See-through fabrics must have a backing which covers the skin from chest to mid-thigh. Cutouts exposing midriff are prohibited.
  5. Exposed cleavage is to be minimal.
  6. Back of dress may not be lower than the waist.    
  7. Hemline and/or slits on dresses are to be mid-thigh or lower.
  8. Very short, skin-tight, “sausage” or “tube” style dresses or skirts are not allowed.

 

If the dress code is not followed, students will: (a) not be permitted into the dance, or (b) be removed**.

 

If you have any questions or concerns about your clothing, please contact PGHS administration before the dance. 


 

Dancing Regulations

  • All dancers must remain vertical with feet on the ground.
  • Refrain from rubbing or touching any private body parts, yours or others.
  • Refrain from break dancing and sexually suggestive movements such as grinding, freaking, mashing, and/or lap dancing.
