SILVER LEGENDS NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH FOOD TRUCK MANIA - Wednesday, May 11th 5pm - 8pm. Volunteers are needed to help with festivities for this neighborhood night-out. Elk Grove Garden Club - Each May this club holds a fundraising event to raise money for local community non-profit groups.
They are in need of dependable volunteers to up us set-up on Friday afternoon (5/13/16) from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm; Saturday (5/14/16) from Noon to 8:00 pm to be runners & Sunday (5/15/16) from 10:00 am until about 11:00 am to dismantle and put away tents, tables, & chairs. Sacramento Zoo Camp Counselor Volunteer Program - Summer 2016 - Camp Counselors have many unique experiences at the Sacramento Zoo. Students will work directly with camp teachers to prepare and teach classes for campers, lead songs and games, guide campers through he Zoo on scavenger hunts, assist in the Family Overnight Safaris, and much more. The 2016/17 course cards will be handed out during Advocacy THURSDAY, MAY 5TH. If you need a schedule change please stop by Student Services before or after school to pick up a schedule change form. The counselors will be available during both lunches Thursday & Friday at the red table near the back of Student Services as well to answer questions and hand out schedule change forms. The deadline to request a schedule change for the 2016/17 school year is Tuesday, May 10th at 3:30 p.m.
Redwood Adventure Camp is hiring summer staff and camp counselors. This seasonal job runs from June 27 – July 21. Pre-service training includes lifeguarding, first aid, CPR and AED certification which can be used for other jobs as well. Summer school will be held at Pleasant Grove High School this summer from June 2nd until June 28th.
There will be an AM session( 8:00- 11:35) and a PM session (12:10 - 3:45) to allow students an opportunity for credit recovery, acceleration or grade improvement.
SUMMER SCHOOL HAS NO EXCUSED ABSENCES! Students who miss two days during a term shall be automatically dropped on their 3rd absence. Students with three tardies shall be automatically dropped on the 4th tardy. More than 30 minutes late constitutes an absence.
Transportation will be available for drop off and pick up for the AM session and pick up only for PM session.
Final course offerings will be determined by the number students who are enrolled and by teacher availability.
