Regular Days:  Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM  (closed 12:00-12:30 for library staff lunch)   During student lunches, the library is open the last 25 minutes of each lunch except when special events are scheduled in the library.  Seating is limited: therefore the library is intended for serious students who are seeking a quiet place to study, do research and computer work.

*Late Start Thursdays the library will be open before school for student use from 8:00 to the start of school.  The rest of the day, due to staff cuts, library access is by teacher appointment only.  No lunch access on Thursdays.

Due to staff cuts, the library is not open after school.

Lost your student ID card?  The library sells replacement ID cards for $5. Place your order before school or at an open lunch and it will be ready for you within 24 hours.

LOST YOUR TEXTBOOK OR CLASS NOVEL?  See what to do by clicking  here

IMPORTANT! Computer print-outs do have a cost in the libraryPlease be sure to bring money for printing with your basic supplies if you plan to print at school.  Black and white printing:  10 cents per page.  Color printing:  25 cents per page.

IMPORTANT COMPUTER FILE CONVERSION INFORMATION  Please read the following if you start your assignments at home and then finish them at school on the library computers. WORKS is a free word processing program that comes pre-installed in many computers and you may have it at home. PAGES is a program that works on Mac computers, but will not open on our computes.

At PGHS- KAMS, our computers have Microsoft WORD installed, which is a different program. WORKS documents (wps) currently do not open on our computers.  We are working on installing a converter program, but for now, if you use WORKS at home, please follow these directions:

You will know the program is Works if the saved file has a .wps at the end. When you are ready to save your Works or Pages document and intend to open it at school, go to the file menu, choose “Save As”. Name the document, then look at the “document type” box below the file name. Pull down the arrow until you see Microsoft Word 97 or “.doc” format. Save a copy in this format and it should open
